Emergency Exit Signs

Our emergency exit signs range includes great value emergency exit legend kits that allow you to easily update or replace your old signage. This means that you can be assured of being fully compliant with the latest legislation. In 2006 the law regarding emergency exit signage changed so signs that use words alone are no longer legal.

In order to comply with the new laws, signs must always be accompanied by a 'running man' pictogram. The format for these signs is specified in BS5499 and they should ideally be placed 1.7 metres above floor level. Installing the new style of emergency exit signs makes your premises safer as they help employees and visitors evacuate the building if there is an emergency, especially when the power fails.

Quick & Easy To Use

Our emergency exit legend kits are simple to use and fully comply with BS5499. Panels have either a 'running man', a door, or an arrow marked clearly on them and can be individually positioned to create the sign you require. You can use them on their own or with your current exit signs. The compulsory green and white colouring is easy to see in all light levels.
