Ultimate LED Small Battery Operated Picture Light - Antique Brass

The Ultimate LED Battery Operated Picture Light offers a stylish and versatile means of lighting art, and it's exclusively available from us in the UK. Since it doesn't require an electrician for installation, this antique brass fitting is economical too. A remote control is supplied, which can operate multiple fittings if desired and includes dimming control. Each picture light can also be dimmed directly, independent of the remote.

Three 'C batteries are needed by the Ultimate LED Picture Light, with each battery set providing between 80 and 120 hours of use. The remote control takes a pair of AAA batteries (all batteries are sold separately).

One of the great advantages of LED lighting for displaying pictures is its lack of UV or IR output. Exposure to ultraviolet light hastens fading in paintings or photos, whereas IR heat can cause damage if the light source is set too close to the art. Neither problem exists with the Ultimate LED Battery Operated Picture Light.

With a width of 197mm, this small light is ideal for pictures up to 400mm to 500mm wide. A popular rule of thumb is that the fitting should be roughly half the width of the picture.

LEDs

The Ultimate LED Battery Operated Picture Light uses 8 x 0.1W LEDs (0.8W total) to emit 64 lumens of warm white 3000K (CCT) light. This equates to an impressive luminous efficacy of 80 lumens per watt. The light produced is equivalent to that of a 10W incandescent lamp. A CRI 85 score signifies a high standard of colour rendering.

An outstanding feature of this dedicated LED fitting is its long 50,000-hour lifespan. This may extend into decades if used moderately each day. LED lifespan is measured to a point where the light is visibly reduced (usually once it has lost 30% of its output). LEDs do not usually expire suddenly as other light sources do.
